Math Magic and Close Reading!

We had fun making "Smart Squares" in math.  Using mental math, we can figure out what number our friends secretly chose from a group of numbers!  How is it done?  Is it math magic?

                                   

In reading we have been learning how text features help us to understand the information in non-fiction text. Close reading is strategy we practice that reminds us to go back, reread, and look for the main topic and the details. 

Our Maps Unit

We finished our unit on landforms and maps this week in social studies. We will do a final "Handmap" project this week. Checkout how we have been studying:
